<p>PURPOSE:To improve the brightness and the contrast of the display as well as to make it possible to regulate the color tone of the display device by using a fluorescent material of a fluorescent dye or a fluorescent paint as a filter. CONSTITUTION:A filter 7 in which a fluorescent material consisting of a fluorescent dye or a fluorescent paint is dispersed evenly in a synthetic resin consisting of a transparent acrylic resin or the like is laminated at the lower side of a lower electrode 2. When it is used for a display device as a light source, it emits light depending on the exciting energy of the ultraviolet area and the visual area of the generated spectrum of the light source, and the luminous color tone can be set as desired without depending directly on the luminous spectrum of the light source accordingly. By such a constitution, a radiation with the intensity level higher than that of the light source is realized, the brightness at the display is increased, and the contrast can be improved.</p> |
