PURPOSE:To improve fixability of a toner at a low temp. and to eliminate offsets by providing the fixing toner formed by using an epoxy resin modified by epichlorohydrin rubber. CONSTITUTION:The epoxy resin is modified by 1-30wt.% epichlorohydrin rubber. The toner is formed by incorporating this epichlorohydrin rubber modified epoxy resin into the toner. For example, the epichlorohydrin rubber modified epoxy resin, polyethylene wax, magnetite, electrostatic charge control agent, etc., are heated, kneaded and ground and a carbon black is added to the mixture to obtain the fixing toner. Since the epoxy resin modified by the epichlorohydrin rubber is used, the toner is easily fixed at a low temp. and the generation of the offsets is eliminated over a wide temp. range. |
