PURPOSE:To prevent such miscopying that a blank is formed by inhibiting copying operation when a detector detects 1st and 2nd originals differing in size in two-sheet original feed mode. CONSTITUTION:An original is conveyed onto original glass 19 by pinch rollers 121 and 122, etc., and a conveyor belt 125 and arranged. The pinch roller 121 is provided with a sensor SE3 for original width detection and a sensor SE5 for original length detection. The original is discharged to a tray 135 through rollers 131 and 132, etc., after being exposed by an original system 20. Then an original image obtained by the optical system 20 is projected on a photosensitive drum 10 and a developing device 14, a transfer device 15, and a fixing device 43 are put in operation to copy the image on copying paper sent from a paper feed cassette 37. If a 2nd original differs in size from the 1st original in two-sheet original feed mode, the copying machine is so controlled that copying operation is inhibited. Thus, such miscopying that a blank is formed in copying operation in two-sheet feed mode is formed is securely prevented. |
