PURPOSE:To improve the data processing efficiency by using a function which transfers the data stored in a nonvolatile memory to a volatile memory when a working power supply is applied and performs the data reading/writing actions to the volatile memory and a function which transfers the data stored in the volatile memory to the nonvolatile memory to store them there when the working power supply is interrupted. CONSTITUTION:A nonvolatile memory 3 is provided in addition to a nonvolatile memory 4 together with a power supply monitoring means 5 which checks whether a working power supply is applied or interrupted. Furthermore a control means 1 for both memories 3 and 4 is provided with a function which transfers the data stored in the memory 4 to the memory 3 and performs the data reading/writing actions to the memory 3 based on the detection output of the means 5 when the working power supply is applied and another function which transfers the data stored in the memory 3 to the memory 4 to store them there when said power supply is interrupted. In such a constitution, the reading/writing frequency of the memory 4 is decreased to increase the lifetime of the memory 4 and also to improve the data processing efficiency. |
