PURPOSE:To make any wrong way control over ignition timing due to knocking misdetection by judging it to be the knocking misdetection if a knock pulse number repeats the zero and more than the specified value as much as specified frequency. CONSTITUTION:A comparator 30 compares a knocking signal out of a knock sensor 10 with a reference level, and it generates a knock pulse according to the compared result. And, at a knocking misdetection judging part of a microcomputer 100, it detects whether the knock pulse number counted by a counter 40 repeats the zero and more than the specified value as much as specified frequency or not, and in conformity with the compared result, if the repetition takes place, it is judged to be knocking misdetection. With this judgment, the knocking misdetection judging part controls a reference lever setting part so as to make a variation in the reference level smaller. Thus, the knocking misdetection is judged to output of a relatively stable knocking signal out of the knock sensor 10, so that a wrong timing delay of ignition timing in an internal combustion engine 9 is preventable. |
