PURPOSE:To recover the state into the state just before power failure with very high reliability at the point of time of power failure restoration by storing novel control information in a dial memory of a dial IC subjected to battery backup in the low power consumption mode during power failure. CONSTITUTION:When control information is generated novelly, a control means brings the dial IC into the control mode and stores the control information in the dial memory of the dial IC. The control information stored in the dial memory is read properly based on the control signal from an external device such as s main CPU. A standby circuit 20 detects a voltage of a station power supply or AC 100V commercial source and the dial IC 16 is in the backup state by a battery 19 at a prescribed voltage or lower and brought into the low power consumption mode. Thus, the content of the dial memory is preserved.
