PURPOSE:To extend the lifetime of feeders by providing a positioning die having a cooling water passage slit on the external surface thereof adjacent to the feeders. CONSTITUTION:A wire electrode 1 passes a pipe 7, and electric feeder 8b, a positioning die 20, another electric feeder 8a and a wire guide 5. The positioning die 20 strokes the wire electrode 1 passing between the feeders 8a and 8b, and the wire electrode 1 and the feeders 8a and 8b are thereby made in contact with one another for power supply to the electrode 1. A machining liquid 14 passes the feeder 8a and then flows in a cooling water passage slit formed on the external surface of the positioning die 20. In this case, almost all cooling water stops running in the guide part of the positioning die 20. Consequently, the vibration of the wire electrode 1 at the fulcrum thereof is restrained and the feeding condition of the feed part does not deteriorate, thereby ensuring the freedom of the feeders 8a and 8b from an abnormal wear.
