PURPOSE:To smoothly rake in grain stalks, by increasing rotational speed of reel tines at an angle of sweepback in reaping against lodging and decreasing the rotational seed of the reel tines at an angle of advance in reaping against lodging. CONSTITUTION:The tip of an arm 78 is pivoted on an angle regulating cylinder 65 and rotated therewith to change the angle of reel tines 27. A speed change cam 76, together with the arm 78, is then rotated with a connecting lever 77 to move the speed change cam 76 itself in two directions and one of reel driving pulleys 75 in two directions and change the rotation of a raking in reel 20. In reaping against lodging, the cylinder 65 is contracted to change the direction of the reel tines 27 to the form of the figure 8 in KANJI. At this time, the rotational speed of the raking in reel tines 27 is increased. In reaping following lodging, the cylinder 65 is expanded to change the direction of the reel tines 27 to the form of the inverted figure 8 in KANJI. At this time, the rotational speed of the raking in reel 20 is reduced.
