PURPOSE:To rotate the title mechanism without any external energy, by a method wherein magnets, arranged so as to oppose and to be close to the outer periphery of a rotor provided with a plurality of magnets having the same polarities different from the polarities of the magnets, are moved toward or away from said rotor through the groove cam of the disc of said rotor to provide the rotor with a torque. CONSTITUTION:A groove 3 is formed on the outer periphery of a nonmagnetic rotor cylinder 1 while oblong magnets are mounted and held by magnet retainers 4. The cylinder 1 is provided with a rotating shaft 2 and disc groove cams 5, 6 for left side operation and right side operation are attached to the rotating shaft 2. Magnets 9, 9', arranged around the outer periphery of the rotating shaft 2, are fixed to nonmagnetic fixing frames while these magnets are constituted rotatably so that the magnets 9, 9' are opposed to the magnets on said disc groove 3 with repulsive forces between the same polarities of these magnets. Said magnets 9, 9' are positioned at positions to provide the magnets on the rotor cylinder with a torque at a predetermined timing by pivoting cam followers 10, 10' and sliding cam followers 11, 11', which are provided on said disc groove cams 5, 6. According to this method, a magnetic force engine may be manufactured.
