PURPOSE:To provide an antistatic agent for polyesters having merits such as a low irritativeness, a low toxicity, a high stability and an excellent antistatic performance, by preparing an adduct of carbazole with a polyoxyalkylene having a specific structure. CONSTITUTION:An antistatic agent for polyesters which is an adduct of carbazole with a polyoxyalkylene having a structure represented by formula 1 wherein R and R' are H or CH3, provided that R' is CH3 when R is H, while R is CH3 when R' is H; and n and m are each 0-500, provided that n+m is 2-1,000. This antistatic agent for polyesters is used in the form of an aq. soln. to surface-coat or impregnate a polyester therewith, or used to mill the same into a polyester. |
