PURPOSE:To improve bonding strength of coating layer on the slightly rusted iron surface, by coating a primer composed of specific polymer cpd. over the iron surface, and then executing usual powder coating. CONSTITUTION:A slightly rusted surface of iron is coated with primer composed of diene compound such as butadiene, isoprene, etc. having conjugated double bond. After drying the primer with air flow, the coated iron is heated and dipped into a fluidized tank of powder of thermoplastic resin such as vinyl chloride, polyethylene, nylon, polyester, etc., to effect fluidized dipping coating of powder thereon. By this process, a longstanding bonding strength can be maintained.
