PURPOSE:To execute mutual communication without remodeling a G3 facsimile by converting a procedure signal and a picture signal from the G3 facsimile to digital signals, transmitting them through integrated service digital network (ISDN), and converting the procedure signal and the picture signal of the G3 facsimile, which have been received, to analog signals. CONSTITUTION:A signal sent out of a G3 facsimile 3 connected to a terminal adaptor 2 through a line connecting terminal is received, converted to a calling procedure to an ISDN, its calling state is informed to the G3 facsimile, and also, a procedure signal and a picture signal from the G3 facsimile are converted to digital signals, and its digital signals is transmitted through the ISDN. In this state, when there is an incoming from the ISDN, the incoming is informed to the G3 facsimile 3, and the procedure signal and the picture signal of the G3 facsimile, which have been received from the ISDN are converted to analog signals. In such a way, the G3 facsimile is connected to the ISDN without remodeling it, and the mutual communication can be executed.
