PURPOSE:To alleviate the conventional restrictions heretofore imposed upon the treatment instrument usable in the bodily cavity and to allow said treatment instrument to develop various treatment functions, by securing the large caliber channel communicating from an operating part to the leading end surface of an insert part. CONSTITUTION:All of ultrasonic probes 3, the drive part 4 thereof and the power transmitting elements 8, 11 connecting both of them are formed into a hollow structure and a hollow channel HC is arranged so as to extend in the state piercing through the region in the vicinity of the center axial line of the insert part 1 from the leading end part 1 thereof to an operating part 2. Therefore, an endoscope capable of obtaining the optical visual field in front of the insert direction of the insert part of an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus can be inserted in the hollow channel HC from the opening provided to the end part of the operating part 2 in the ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus at any time if necessary. Since a large forceps and other required machineries other than the endoscope can be appropriately inserted through the hollow channel HC, the ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus having abundant treatment functions as compared with a conventional known one can be realized.
