NEW MATERIAL:A dithiolopyrrole based compound expressed by formula I (R<1>, R<2> and R<3> are H, 1-6C-alkyl, 3-6C-alkenyl, 1-4C-alkoxy-1-4C-alkyl, halo-1-4C-alkyl, 3-6C-cycloalkyl or benzyl; R<2> and R<3> may be linked through 2-3C carbon chain; A is formula II, -SO2- or formula III). EXAMPLE:3-(N-Methyl-methoxycarbonylamino)-5-methyl-4-oxo-4, 5-dihydro-1,2-di thii)-[4,5-b]pyrrole. USE:Useful as an agricultural and horticultural germicide, capable of exhibiting high control effects on paddy rice blights, such as blast of rice plant and horticul tural blights, such as gray mold, and effective against drug-resistant germs without showing phytotoxicity to plant bodies. PREPARATION:A compound expressed by formula IV is used as a starting raw material, reacted with a thioglycolic acid ester and passed through several steps to afford the aimed compound expressed by formula I.
