NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formula I (R1 is H, lower alkyl; R2 is phenyl which may be substituted; X is methylene, dimethylmethylene, O; p is 1, 2; q is 0, 1; r is 1-3 where p+q=2). EXAMPLE:(5Z)-7-[(1R*, 2S*, 3S*, 4S)-3- Phenylsulfonylaminomethylbicyclo[2,2,1]hept-2-yl]-5-heptenoic acid. USE:The derivative is used as an antithrombotic, antivasoconstrictor, and antibronchoconstrictor, because it has strong action to inhibit platelet coagula tion caused by thromboxan A2, vasoconstriction and broncho-construction. PREPARATION:An aldehyde or formula II is subjected to the Wittig's reaction with an ylide to give an enol ether of formula III and the product is acidolyzed to give an aldehyde of formula IV. Further, the Wittig's reaction of the com pound of formula IV with a ylide gives the compound of formula I.
