PURPOSE:To enable a sufficient amount of oxygen to be supplied, by constituting a gas exchange part of expiration and inspiration side gas exchange parts which are provided in series in a closed loop circulating circuit, in the case of an automatic supply type underwater respiration device which enables dissolving oxygen in the water to be automatically exchanged with carbon dioxide in the expiration. CONSTITUTION:A breathing pipe 1, connected to a mask held by a user in his mouth, branches into an inspiration pipe 2 and an expiration pipe 3, providing a one way type valve 4, opened in the time of inspiration, and a one way type valve 5, opened in the time of expiration, in the vicinity of a branch part of each pipe 2, 3. The inspiration pipe 2 and the expiration pipe 3 are connected to inspiration and expiration side gas exchange parts 11, 18 respectively through pipes 6, 13, and pipes 10, 17, serving as the outlet of each gas exchange part 11, 18, are connected to a common pressure regulating bag 23. The pressure regulating bag 23 has a film 25 able to perform the elastic deformation, contracting this film 25 exceeding a limit, and when a lever 27 reaches the position of a chain line, a device, which opens an automatic opening and closing valve 32 through a sensor 28, enables air in an auxiliary container 31 to be supplied to the pressure regulating bag 23.
