PURPOSE:To improve the S/N of picture element information by referring to the output voltage of a current amplifying means and initializing the terminal voltage of a capacity element. CONSTITUTION:During the initialization of the terminal V0, a reference voltage Vref1 is set to a reference voltage Vref. Accordingly, a comparator 6 compares the output voltage VOUT of a source follower circuit with the reference voltage Vref1 namely, the reference voltage Vref to monitor whether the output voltage VOUT is equal to the reference voltage Vref or not. When the output voltage VOUT is lower than the reference voltage Vref, it means that when the output voltage VOUT is lower than the reference voltage Vref, the terminal voltage value V0 of the capacity element 5 does not reach an initialized value, so that the comparator 6 outputs a control signal CTL for turning a switching element FT 15 on through a buffer 7. Then, when the output voltage VOUT is equal to the reference voltage Vref, the control signal CTL turns off the switching element FT 15 and completes the initialization of the terminal voltage value V0 of the capacity element 5. Thereby, the S/N of the picture element information is improved.
