PURPOSE:To improve the workability of assembly, by dividing a car body into each constitutional assembly unit of engine compartment, floor, body side, roof, etc., and mounting interior parts, provided being arranged in each constitutional assembly unit, to be interposed and fixed in the butt-arranged part of the fellow constitutional assembly units. CONSTITUTION:An automobile body 1 is constituted of each constitutional unit dividing the body 1 into an engine compartment 2 performing subassembly of plural functional parts 9 including a power train, floor assembly 3 performing subassembly of floor functional parts containing various seats 15, body side assembly 4 and a roof assembly 5. These constitutional units are butted to each other being connected by using bolts-nuts 42. And each constitutional unit, here for instance, the engine compartment 2 and the body side assembly 4 mount to their butt-connection part each end edge part of a floor carpet and a body side trim, which are intrior parts, to be interposed and fixed so as to mount these floor carpet and body side trim.
