PURPOSE:To contrive improvements in durability and mold release properties, by a method wherein the surface of a mold is coated with a cured coating of a mixture composed of effective ingredients of curing resin and polymethylsilsesquioxane powder having specific mean particle diameter. CONSTITUTION:Radical curing type resin such as unsaturated polyester resin or unsaturated vinyl ester resin or unsaturated acrylate resin is used under a state where it is dissolved into a vinyl monomer. Although polymethylsilsesquioxane powder to be used together with this curing resin is obtained by performing hydrolyzing and condensation of methyl trialkoxysilane and/or its hydrolyzing and condensation product into a water solution of an ammonia or amine group, it is essential that a particle diameter falls within a range of 0.05-100mum from a view point of improvements in a mold release effect and smoothness of mold release surface. This composition is prepared by dispersing and uniformly mixing with one another ingredients each and an additive agent at need by making use of a device such as a sand mill or a three-roll mill or a ball mill. A method manufacturing a resin mold is performed in accordance with a normal manufacturing method. |
