PURPOSE:To improve working efficiency and availability of a machine tool by discharging ceramic cutting powder accumulated in a cutting liquid tank of the machine tool automatically by without restricting a hole made through a partitioned chip pan. CONSTITUTION:Cutting chips 6 are separated from cutting liquid 2 discharged through a trough 1 by means of a chip pan 3 and a partitioned chip pan 4. Micro particle cutting chips 11 to be produced when a work is made of ceramic passes through a hole 9 and enters into a cutting liquid tank 5. A portion of the cutting chips 11 sink into a receiving box 12 while the remaining cutting chips 11 sink into the bottom face 16 then move gradually on a slope and accumulated in the receiving box 12. The receiving box 12 lowers while resisting against a spring 13 so as to close a switch 14. Consequently, a solenoid valve 15 opens and cutting chips 11 accumulated in the receiving box 12 is discharged to the outside of the tank 5 together with the cutting liquid 2. The receiving box 12 is lifted by the spring 13 so as to close a switch 19 thus closing the valve 15 and discharging work of cutting chips 11 is finished. |
