PURPOSE:To always keep a prescribed attitude of a word processor by pivoting a printer pedestal tunably at the upper part of a CRT unit and controlling the angle of the pedestal in response to the tilting action of the CRT unit. CONSTITUTION:A word processor having a CRT tilt mechanism contains a CRT unit 1 including a floppy disk drive, a power supply, a control substrate, etc., in addition to a CRT. Then unit 1 is supported so that it can be turned up and down centering on the axial core of a cylinder support part 3 set on a tilt pedestal 2. The part 3 is fixed at the top part of the pedestal 2 and a bearing surface of the unit 1 is formed on the cylindrical circumference of the part 3. Then a shaft 4 is fixed concentrically with the part 3 and a fan- shaped drive gear 5 is fixed at the shaft 4. Furthermore, a printer pedestal 7 is pivoted via a shaft at the upper part of the unit 1 so that it can turn up and down centering on a shaft 6. Then a drive gear 8 is added.
