PURPOSE:To obtain a white rubber roll, which is useful for the reading roll of a facsimile transmitter by a method wherein a carbon-containing black electrically conductive rubber layer is provided on a shaft and the surface of said layer is covered with a white electrically conductive silicone rubber layer which contains stannous oxide and/or zinc oxide and titanic oxide, by extrusion. CONSTITUTION:A white rubber roll is produced by covering the surface of a carbon-containing electrically conductive rubber layer, which is provided onto a shaft, with a white electrically conductive silicone rubber layer, which contains stannous oxide and/or zinc oxide and titanic oxide, by extrusion. As the white electrically conductive silicone rubber, silicone rubber compound, which is obtained by uniformly mixing 100pts.wt. of green silicone rubber mainly consisting of dimethyl methylvinyl polysiloxane, with 50-200pts.wt. of stannous oxide and/or zinc oxide as white electrical conductivity imparting agent, 20-200 pts.wt. of titanic oxide powder as white pigment and 0.8-3.0pts.wt. of extruding and vulcanizing peroxide-based vulcanizing agent. The preferable thickness of the white electrically conductive silicone rubber layer is set in the range of 0.3-2.0mm. |
