PURPOSE:To obtain an organic type photosensitive body high in sensitivity and superior in potential stability at the time of repeated uses by incorporating a specified disazo pigment in a photoconductive layer. CONSTITUTION:The disazo pigment to be added to the photoconductive layer is represented by the formula in which each of A1 and A2 is a coupler residue having a phenolic hydroxyl group, and each of R1 and R2 is H, alkyl, alkoxy, halogen, or cyano, thus permitting the obtained organic type photosensitive body to be improved in carrier generating efficiency and carrier transfer efficiency in the photoconductive layer, presumably by the presence of disazo pigment having an electron attractive group, such as a carbonyl or azo group in the molecule, and accordingly, enhanced in sensitivity and potential stability at the time of repeated uses. |
