PURPOSE:To enhance disinfection effect without extending the time of a disinfec tion process, by mounting a means for disinfecting an object to be washed with an antiseptic solution after the finish of a washing process due to a wash ing means and a means for irradiating the object to be washed with ultraviolet rays in a washing and disinfection process due to a washing means and a dis infection means. CONSTITUTION:When a sterilizing lamp 9 is allowed to light at an arbitrary time in a washing and disinfection process, the ultraviolet rays emitted from the sterilizing lamp 9 are transmitted through an opening and closing cover 8 to irradiate the interior of a washing tank 4. Since sterilizing effect due to ultraviolet rays is added to the endoscope 2 received in the washing tank 4 other than usual washing and disinfection effect by the ultraviolet rays from the sterilizing lamp 9, disinfection effect is enhanced without extending the time of a disinfection process. Further, by allowing the sterilizing lamp 9 to light after the finish of the washing and disinfection process, the proliferation of various bacteria can be prevented by the residual water in the washing tank 4. |
