PURPOSE:To eliminate cumbersomeness, by selecting the flow passages of the reaction gases introduced in an ion source each time when mass scanning is repeated for the definite number of times and measuring the mass spectrum based on some kinds of reaction gases one time injecting of a specimen. CONSTITUTION:The reaction gases of a gas cylinder 16a and the like are successively changed over through a flow passage selection means 22 corresponding to the control signal from a data processing control part 14 at each time when mass scanning is repeated the definite number of times. Next, the specimen injected in a chromatograph 2 is separated into component gases in a column and a carrier gas is removed to introduce said gases into an ionizing chamber 6 and the secondary ions obtained by the electron impulse due to a filament 8 are introduced into a mass analyser 10 and the high frequency voltage applied to the analyser 10 is scanned by the signal from the control part 14 and the ionized specimen is subjected to mass separation to be detected by an ion detector 12. The control part 14 opens and closes a solenoid valve 24a through a reaction gas change-over control part 20 each time when mass scanning is repeated for the definite number of times.
