PURPOSE:To prevent the bursting of a container body or removal of a cover from occurring when pressure becomes excessive in the interior of the container by forming all around the cover which is placed on at least one of both the ends of the container body a gas-releasable loose fit portion larger in retaining width than in the other portion. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of gas releasable loose fit portion 16 is formed on a close fit portion 15 provided all around a peripheral wall 9 of a body 2. The cover retaining width W1 of the loose fit portion 16 is larger than cover retaining width W0 of the other portion and the loose fit portion 16 is formed on a peripheral wall 7a of a concavity 7 of a cover 3 and provided with a cross-sectionally triangularly-shaped raised portion 17 facing toward the center of the concavity 7 and extending vertically. One of the two sides forming the vertex of the raised portion 17 is gently inclined blending with the close fit portion 15. When a container 1 is allowed to stand at normal temperatures, evolved carbonic acid gas escapes to the exterior between the peripheral wall 7a of the concavity 7 in the loose fit portion 16 and the body 2 and through a space 13 defined by the formation of a bent portion 12. |
