PURPOSE:To identify the real user of an ID card by comparing net rentia pattern information stored on the ID card with a rentia pattern obtained from the user of this ID card and deciding whether or not the pupil of the ID card user reacts. CONSTITUTION:Rentia patterns obtained before a light emitting device 30 illuminate, namely, the rentia pattern information written on the ID card and the rentia pattern used when the rentia pattern of the card user is compared to decide the reaction of the pupil from their difference. The decision information on the pupil reaction is sent to a main control part 21. The digital values of the rentia pattern stored on the memory in the main control part 21 and the rentia pattern information obtained from the ID card 6 are compared, bit by bit, to check whether or not the rentia pattern matches with the rentia pattern information. Further, it is judged from the decision information obtained from a pupil reaction decision part 34 whether or not the rentia pattern is a pattern obtained from a living body. Consequently, it can be confirmed whether or not the ID card 6 corresponds to its user. |
