PURPOSE:To facilitate protection of the surface waveform of a heat pipe, by a method wherein, in a heat pipe through which ground heat is taken out to a ground, at least one steel material is mounted along the longitudinal direction of an external side in a manner to be adhered to the surface of the steel material, and both ends are securely locked. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a heat pipe 1 is longitudinally formed in a waveform 2, so called corrugate type, and the interior of the heat pipe 1 is filled in a pressure reduced state with working liquid 3, e.g., fleon. A steel material 4 is formed by, for example, a stranded wire of steel, being a stretch resistant wire, the outer side of the heat pipe 1, formed in the surface waveform 2, is formed along a longitudinal direction, and the lower end thereof is secuely mounted to a lower terminal metal 5 of the pipe 1 by contact-bonding. A wire material 8 is wound around the outer periphery of the pipe for fastening as the steel wire 4 is forced into firm contact with the side of the pipe 1. The action of the tool material enables prevention of overelongation of the pipe 1 and flattening of the waveform 2 due to its own weight.
