PURPOSE:To easily form various synthetic images with one camera-integrated VTR by using a synchronizing signal separated from a reproduced video signal in the double azimuth head type VTR. CONSTITUTION:A video signal demodulator circuit 3 demodulates a video signal reproduced by one of the heads, and simultaneously separates a synchronizing signal. Based on this synchronizing signal, a CCD camera part 4 outputs a video signal, and a timing generation circuit 5 generates a timing signal based on this synchronizing signal. Video signals demodulated by the demodulator circuit 3 and those outputted from the camera part 4 are outputted suitably switchingly based on timing signals from the generation circuit 5, and both video signals are synthesized together. Thus synthesized video signal is recorded again in a magnetic tape through the other heads. In such a way, the synthesizing of two pictures is attained with one camera-integrated type VTR.
