PURPOSE:To display a line with width at a high speed by adding coordinate information on only one external frame in addition to the center line with width and its width information. CONSTITUTION:This device is equipped with a coordinate input terminal 1, an X coordinate holding part 2, a DELTAX coordinate holding part 3, a DELTAX1 coordinate holding part 4, a Y coordinate holding part 5, a DELTAY coordinate holding part 6, a DELTAY1 coordinate holding part 7, an addition and subtraction part 8, a shifter part 9, and a vector generation and display part 10. Then coordinate information on a center line and either of pieces of coordinate information on respective end points of the external frame and coordinate information on points on the external frame are held and the addition and subtraction of coordinates or addition and subtraction and shift arithmetic operation are performed. Further, center line coordinates and external frame coordinates are generated and displayed by the addition and subtraction among the pieces of coordinate information or the addition and subtraction and shift arithmetic operation. Thus, all external frame coordinates of the line with width are calculates at a high speed only by simple hardware and by adding only the external frame coordinate information on one point.
