Method for the successive construction of building floors, characterized in that each floor (10) is prefabricated on the floor immediately under or underlying (10a) and in that the floor (10) is then brought to its definitive location by means of lifting means (4) which bear onto definitive or provisional uprights (1). The prefabrication and lifting area may conveniently be covered by an overhanging structure (5) to which the uprights or posts (1) and the lifting means (4) are secured and which, according to an invention device, can be the structure of the definitive covering of the building.
