PURPOSE:To obtain a thermoelectromotive force of desired capacity in a combustion plate for a gas burning hot water supplier, by holding between upper and lower plates made of ceramics, etc., which have through-holes at positions different from the positions of flame holes a group of thermoelectricity generating elements of the number the same as that of the through-holes. CONSTITUTION:Between an upper plate 15a and lower plate 15b which are made of ceramics, etc., and have through-holes 16 of a large number at positions which are different from the positions of flame holes a group 18 of thermoelectricity generating elements which are formed by connecting in series or in parallel thermoelectricity generating elements 17 of the number the same as that of the through-holes 16 is held and fixed. In this case, the heating section 17a of the thermoelectricity generating element 17 faces the through-hole 16a of the upper plate 15a and the low temperature part 17b faces the through-hole 16b of the lower plate 15b. In this constitution, the low temperature part of the thermoelectricity generating element is cooled by the mixture gas sufficiently so that a thermoelectromotive force of desired capacity can be obtained. Further, because the heating section is not directly in contact with the burning flame, its durability can be improved.
