PURPOSE:To obtain superior superconductor having high critical current density and high critical temp. in a relatively short time by calcining and heat treating succeedingly a powder mixture contg. each constituting element of a perovskite oxide superconductor in each specified proportion under specific conditions. CONSTITUTION:Powdery raw material obtd. by calcining a powder mixture contg. each element constituting a perovskite oxide superconductor in each specified proportion at 800-1,000 deg.C, or a molded body formed to a desired shape with said powdery raw material, is heat-treated at 500-900 deg.C in O2-contg. atmosphere (pref. in O2) under 10-100atm. For example, an oxide superconductor expressed by ABa2Cu3O7-delta (wherein A is an element selected from Y, Yb, Ho, Dy, Eu, Er, Tm, and Lu) is cited as the above described oxide superconductor. |
