PURPOSE:To measure a position with high accuracy by preventing the accumulation of an error, by making it possible to approximately obtain accurate position measuring data even when the arrangement of satellites is unsatisfactory. CONSTITUTION:A navigation system 1 performs operational processing on the basis of the GPS data received by a GPS (global positioning system) data receiving part 2 or the data showing the relative position of a moving body obtained by an earth magnetism sensor 3 and calculates the present position of the moving body to output the same. A satellite arrangement judge part 4 judges whether the arrangement of satellites is well at the time of measurement and a car speed judge part 5 detects the speed of the moving body. Further, an average value operation part 6 accumulates the position data obtained on the basis of the GPS data over the predetermined number of times to calculate the average value thereof. When the arrangement of the satellites is good, the present position of the moving body is calculated as it is on the basis of the position data obtained using the GPS data. When the arrangement of the satellites is unsatisfactory, the position data corresponding to the number of many times obtained from the GPS data during the stop of the moving body are accumulated to be averaged and the present position of the moving body is calculated from the calculated average value. |
