PURPOSE:To provide the titled sheet which has high tensile strength and is useful for gaskets, packings, etc., by successively providing honeycomb-shaped patterns to the sheet. CONSTITUTION:Expanded graphite particles are put into a male mold mounted on a compression press and are compressively molded by a female mold having honeycomb-shaped ruggedness, by which a molding consisting of honeycomb- shaped projecting parts 1 and a base material part 2 is obtd. This molding is then compressively molded by the male mold having a flat pressurizing face by which the expanded graphite sheet having the honeycomb-shaped patterns consisting of the honeycomb parts 3 and the other parts 4 having 0.6-1.4g/cm<3> bulk density is obtd.
