PURPOSE:To obtain a locking pin, with which stable tensile force is obtained and the durability of which is improved, by a method wherein a bolt, which is insertingly fixed to a mold, a deformable expansion member and a metal covering member on the side surface of which slits are made, are provided. CONSTITUTION:A locking pin 200 consists of a metal bolt 14, a plastic expansion member 16 and a metal covering member 18. When the bolt 14 is screwed in a mold 12, the thick part 18a of the covering member 18 is pressed by the head part 14b of the bolt 14, resulting in pressing the expansion member 16 against the mold 12. The expansion member 16, the diameter of which becomes larger by being pressed at both ends, results in applying radial force to the covering member 18. The covering member 18 having slits 18d spreads the end part 18c of a side surface 18b so as to turn into a tapered form spreading towards the mold 12. Since no wear occurs, the covering member 18 can be used semipermanently. Further, when the covering member 18 is screwed in the mold, the covering member can be smoothly inserted in the hole of a mold 10, resulting in allowing to give enough resisting force to the mold 10 at the releasing of the mold.
