PURPOSE:To efficiently heat polymer powder having poor heat conductivity and precisely form a large number of plate-shaped compacts at one time and consequently eliminate the cutting of a large lump into plate-shaped pieces by a method wherein cold isostatic pressing (CIP) treatment and hot isostatic pressing (HIP) treatment are carried out at the powder solidifying molding of large-sized plate-shaped compact. CONSTITUTION:Stock powder 7 is laminatedly filled through elastic and releasable partition plates 5 into a rubber case 6 in order to form CIP-treated bodies 4, which are charged in a CIP device 1 in order to be turned into laminated precompacts 8 by means of CIP treatment. The respective precompacts 8 are laminatedly housed through heat-conductive partition plates 10 in a metal capsule 9 in order to form HIP treated bodies 11, which are charged in a CHIp device to be subjected to HIP treatment. Consequently, homogeneous large-sized solidified compact is obtained. In addition, a large number of compacts having the predetermined thickness are formed simultaneously, resulting in eliminating the need for cutting a lump compact into thin compacts, saving labour and enhancing yield. During the hot isostatic molding, the temperature distribution in elementary particles is uniform and at the same time the heating time is reduced and, further, the cooling of the compacts is made uniform, resulting in preventing cracks due to thermal stress from occurring.
