PURPOSE:To enable the interval of timings for starting energization to be controlled to be not more than an energization width, by providing two storage circuits controlled independently by two energization pulses. CONSTITUTION:In response to a writing signal W from a CPU, a storage circuit 1 stores energizable/non-energizable information. A storage circuit 2 permits an output from the circuit 1 to pass therethrough when an energization pulse signal A is 0, and holds the output when the signal A is 1, whereas an inhibit gate 3 permits an output from the circuit 2 to pass therethrough only when the signal A is 1. A storage circuit 4 and an inhibit gate 5 are similarly controlled by an energization pulse signal B, outputs from both of inhibit gates 3, 5 are validated and outputted by an OR gate 6, and a solenoid 8 is driven through a driving transistor 7, thereby printing. Thus, an interval time t1 for energization-starting timings and an energization time t2 can be obtained by using the energization pulse signals A, B for writing timings W1, W2..., and a head can be controlled at a period of not more than the energization width.
