A shutter comprises interconnected strips each with integral male and female connecting members at each end so that the strips can be joined in series to form the shutter. A recess along the length of each strip can receive a corresponding overlap of an adjacent strip. The strips are pref. individual plastics injection mouldings and are reinforced by embedded wires or bands. Each strip is pref. formed with a protruding tongue and a recess such that when the strips are joined at their ends the tongue of one strip enters the recess of an adjacent strip to interlock the strips to prevent tampering and provide flexibility. The strips pref. have end shoulders so that when connected relative lateral movement is prevented. |
