INTERFACE DEVICE

An interface device (14, 16) for connection between a facsimile reproduction machine (10, 12) and a simplex radio (18, 20) includes a receiving circuit (23) and a transmitting circuit (119). A switch (90) connects an appropriate one of the circuits to the machine. A control circuit (130) monitors the change in the mode of operation of the machine (10, 12) and operates upon the switch (90) to cause a corresponding change of connection to the machine. The control circuit (130) also operates upon the transceiver (18, 20) to condition it to a transmit mode upon the transmit circuit (119) being selected.
