The invention relates to a method for producing infusion apparatus filters which are used in the drop chambers of an infusion apparatus. According to the invention, the filter fabric is welded by means of ultrasound onto a mounting ring, and thereafter the filter fabric circular laminations are separated from the fabric strips by means of ultrasound. It is possible to use either separate sonotrodes in a sequence or a combined sonotrode for the purpose of ultrasonic welding and ultrasonic separation. A fully automatic operating cycle with short processing times ensures a higher utilisation of the filter material and injection-moulding material and the reduction in the rejection rate.
