An appts. for milling and drilling window profiles, esp. of plastics or aluminium, comprises a base-plate (29), on which the profile is placed. The profile is adjusted and fixed in position by movable blocks and stops (30), so that it can be moved past the machining tools (42,43) as a function of data picked up by position sensors (not shown) and processed in a control unit (not shown). Two drilling and milling tools (42,43) are provided, one above and one below the base-plate (29); the upper tool (42) can be pivoted (perpendicular to the plane of the drawing) through 90 deg. arc, its spindle (45a) being also pivotal through 90 deg. about an axis (53a); similarly, the lower drilling and milling tool (43) can be pivoted (perpendicular to the drawing) through a 45 deg. arc, its spindle (45b) being pivotal through 45 deg about its axis (53b). The two spindles can be adjusted transversely to the feed direction and can be adjusted along the feed direction either jointly, i.e. as one assembly, pref. by a pneumatic cylinder (66) and also independently of each other, pref. by a further pneumatic cylinder (68) which shifts the lower tool (43) relative to the upper tool (42). USE/ADVANTAGE - For machining profiles for fixed and moving window frames esp. of aluminium or plastics.
