PURPOSE:To facilitate packing exchange and prevent liquid from leakage by inserting a packing holder collar fixed to a rotary shaft into a shaft hole and pressing a gland packing wound around the outer surface of said collar against as seal plate fastened to the side wall to provide an O-ring in the shaft hole. CONSTITUTION:A packing holder 12 and a gland packing 13 are rotated integrally by the rotation of a rotary shaft 11. Then, sludge in a fluid tank 10 flows from a gap 20 between the outer surface of a collar 12a and the inner surface of shaft hole 10a, but it is blocked by an O-ring 17 so that it flows into an axial gap 21 and tends to flow into a gap 22 between the outer surface of holder 12 and the inner surface of seal plate 14. However, it hardly flows from the outside to the inside by a centrifugal force and is blocked from the inflow by a packing 13. Sludge tending to flow into a gap between the outer surface of rotary shaft 11 and the inner surface of holder 12 is blocked by O-rings 18, 19. Next, when the packing 13 is exchanged, the rotary shaft 11 is left as it is and bolts 15 and the plate 14 are removed to facilitate the exchange. |
