PURPOSE:To freely adjust conductivity by mixing substance for forming liquid crystal in low volatile organic solvent with magnetic fluid with the organic solvent as carrier to impart conductivity. CONSTITUTION:Substance for forming liquid crystal is added into carrier made of low volatile organic solvent. The carrier which becomes dispersive medium of fine ferromagnetic particles suitably use kerosine, various hydrocarbon such as mineral oil, synthetic oils and ethers or esters, or low volatile organic solvent such as silicone oil in response to the utility of the magnetic fluid. The ferromagnetic fine particles use magnetite colloid obtained by known wet method. The substance for forming the liquid crystal is, for example, mixture of diethylaminoethylamide stearate and alkylphosphoric ester. The mixture ratio of both and the adding ratio of the mixture obtained thereby to carrier liquid are adequately adjusted to present the liquid crystal to increase the conductivity of the magnetic fluid. |
