<p>An after-filter (1) for powder paint spraying installation comprising a closed filter housing (16) in which the powder containing air is introduced via an inlet duct (12) and from which the filtered air flows out through an outlet duct (13). At the bottom of the filter housing (16) there is a water tank (17), and the filter housing (16) furthermore comprises first, second, third and fourth guide means (18, 17, 23, 24), respectively, being so adapted that water from the tank (17) under the influence of the air flowing through the filter housing (16) is passed from the water surface up to an area at the top of the filter housing (16) and subsequently back down into the tank (17). The powder is successively bound by this water (17) during the passage of the air through the first, second and third guide means (18, 17, 23), and the water is subsequently separated from the air during the passage of the latter through the fourth guide means (24). By using the after-filter according to the present invention the powder is filtered from the deflected air to a higher extent than previously known, and the powder may be removed from the filter in a moist condition without any kind of dust nuisances.</p> |
