PURPOSE:To eliminate the wrong setting due to a manual operation and to simplify the modification of a device constitution by applying clearly an address to the storing position of a unit, and defining the type of the unit within the unit as a set data. CONSTITUTION:When a unit 1 is connected to a common bus 9, an address data setting means 91 is connected to an address comparator 13 of the unit 1. When a unit 2 gives an access to another unit, the address data of the unit 2 is applied to all units connected to the bus 9. Each unit compares the address data with the address data set at the comparator 13. An enable signal is generated at an information signal line 16 with the unit having the coincidence of the above- mentioned comparison. Thus the access from the unit 2 is made possible. While an answer confirming signal showing the presence of a unit of access address is informed to the unit 2 via an information signal line 17.
