A device to measure, in particular, pH values in liquids comprises a calibration chamber housing (2) having a calibration chamber (7), accessible to the medium to be measured, and a measuring probe (13) projecting into the calibration chamber (7). The calibration chamber opening (8, 9) can be closed by means of a closing cover (16, 17) which can be adjusted on the side wall (10, 11) of the calibration chamber housing (2) and is loaded towards the side wall (10, 11). The delivery and discharge conduits (21, 22) for calibration chamber liquids open into the side wall (10, 11) of the calibration chamber housing (2) in such a way that they are sealed against the medium to be measured in each adjustment position of the closing cover (16, 17). The closing cover (16, 17) is provided to a channel (27) which connects the conduits (21, 22) spatially to the calibration chamber (7) in the closed position of the cover. <IMAGE>
