The invention relates to a loading device with which the residual broken material, which is located in the end area of the winning zone and cannot be lifted directly from the plough into the face conveyor, is loaded. The loading device consists of a loading ramp (8), preferably in the configuration of a loading shovel, which is mounted in a tilting bearing (11) in a vertically pivotable manner in such a way that it can discharge the received residual broken material to the rear across the tilting bearing into the conveyor (5). Here, the loading ramp (8) is preferably designed as a telescopic shovel which can be lengthened and shortened telescopically.
