UNITING MEMBER FOR SMALL PART TO SYNTHETIC RESIN PRODUCT

PURPOSE:To firmly fix a small part to a synthetic resin product without its cracking by meltedly joining an united surface of a synthetic resin uniting member body to a fixing portion of the synthetic resin product to unite the small part onto the synthetic resin product. CONSTITUTION:A protrusion on an united surface of an uniting member body 5 is brought into contact with a fixing portion of a synthetic resin side visor 2 with a small part 3 held on a holding part of the synthetic resin uniting member body 5. The protrusion is pressingly given a supersonic wave whose vibrations cause the heating and melting of only the protruding part being in point contact with the fixing surface of the side visor 2 to unite the uniting member body 5 and the side visor 2 in a body for fixing the small part 3 to the side visor 2. Thus, since only the protruding part being in point contact with the fixing portion of the side visor 2 is locally heated to melt, any parts except the synthetic resin side visor 2 and the protrusion of the uniting member body 5 can be certainly and meltedly joined in a body without cracking to make the firm fixation of the small part 3 possible.
