PURPOSE:To give the title composition which contains gelatin, water, plasticizers, natural oil as a light screen, and surfactants, thus enabling the composition to be applied to medicines such as suppository, and the soft capsules therefrom to be filled with hydrophobic substances, because the composition has high light-screening properties, lubricity and hydrophobic nature. CONSTITUTION:As a light screen, is used naturally occurring oil selected from animal oil such as squalene or mud turtle oil, vegetable oil such as soybean oil, palm oil, oil originating from plants such as mid-chain fatty acid glycerides, and mineral oil such as fluid paraffin, methylpolysiloxane or a surfactant such as polyoxyethylenesorbitan monooleate or sorbitan monooleate. The light screen is combined with gelatin, water, plasticizers such as glycerol or sorbitol so that the gelatin becomes 30-60wt.% based on the composition and the light screen and the plasticizers becomes 10-50wt.%, preferably 20-30wt.% respectively based on the gelatin.
